The first step to artist social media success

Social media is still one of the biggest pain points for all artists of all sizes.

In my artist journey, there was one thing I did that helped me crack it before I was able to get millions of views on reels.

It's simpler than you think.

When you move into a new house, the first thing you do is decorate and stage it right?

Artists should feel the same about studio spaces they work at, even in their bedroom.

The moment I staged my studio for vibe and aesthetics from a camera angle I filmed at, my content started doing way better.

I knew the camera was only really going to face one way so I made everything from that angle look better.

A few acoustic panels, a plant, hung my guitar, and a good LED light to face me.

You don't need anything expensive either which is a big mental block artists have. This wasn't filmed in a fancy studio, it was in a 1 bedroom apartment with minimal gear.

I just made a few adjustments with the thought of staging for aesthetics and filming.

When you do this to your space, you get more excited about filming music content, and it catches more attention online if the aesthetics of the video are clean. 

To recap:

1. Find your camera angle in your space

2. Stage the wall and backdrop with a few things that set the vibe and feel like a studio

3. Point good lighting at you

While this tip may seem basic, sometimes you have to go back to the foundational levels and revamp things for better results. This simple tip was my big breakthrough on social media and eventually led me to viral reels.
